Should I apply early decision to NYU?
my gpa is about 3.4, but rigorous course load
sat - math:700, writing:770, reading:730, overall 2200
test scores - AP us history:5, AP art history:5, more scores to come at the end of this year
extracurriculars:
treasurer of amnesty international
president of imrock (music exchange group)
japanese honor society (for A average in language)
french honor society (for A average in language)
world vision
MUN (2 years)
basically i have a hard time deciding whether i should apply early decision to NYU or not.. the added boost will help my admissions chances, and i love the city/social scene but im wondering if my personality is more suited to a real liberal arts education because im the more artsy type ...
and if it is, should i apply early to wellesley? i like how the school sounds, but what about the whole girls school thing?
or should I not apply early at all? the rest of the schools im looking at are east coast liberal arts (vassar, hamilton, etc)
NYU and the other schools you are applying to are completely different. Honestly, I wouldn't apply ED with your GPA. You have a good shot at regular decision, though.
